Meet the Team at Ascension Chiropractic

Karlee

Karlee Yocum

Co-Owner · Marketing · Team Coordinator

Meet Karlee—the powerhouse behind the scenes who keeps our team organized, inspired, and laughing along the way! A proud mama of three and wife to Dr. Ryan, Karlee brings warmth, heart, and a sprinkle of sass to everything she does. Before joining the chiropractic world, she rocked the classroom as a Secondary English and Gifted and Talented Special Education teacher (so yes, she can spot a typo from a mile away and manage chaos like a pro).

Hailing from the Topeka area, Karlee is fiercely passionate about natural birth, supporting kiddos through today’s “perfect storm” of neurological stressors, and pointing families toward true healing. She’s a PSL-loving, sweater-wearing fall fanatic who can likely be found lifting weights, sipping something cozy, or quoting something goofy with her signature silly, sarcastic (but well intentioned) sense of humor.

A former dancer for the Kansas Koyotes indoor football team, Karlee also has a deep love for Jesus, all things PX (The Pediatric Experience), and—let’s be honest—chips and salsa (best snack ever).

She’s the steady voice in our storm along with her husband, the hype woman behind our mission, and the queen of making big vision feel possible. We couldn’t imagine this team without her!

Kendra Niemann

Kendra Niemann

Kendra Niemann, born in Willmar, Minnesota, is a dedicated mother and active community member who finds immense joy in watching her children thrive in their sports activities. Her daughters are competitive cheerleaders, and her son is involved in football, wrestling, and baseball. Kendra herself enjoys staying active and curling up with a good book. Married to her husband Tanner for 15 years, they have three children: Lainey, who is 12, Hudson, who is 10, and Jolie, who is 8, along with their two goldendoodles, Lulu and Taffy. An interesting fact about Kendra is that she has a twin sister and is 11 minutes older than her.

Kendra’s journey into pediatric-chiropractor-raymore-mo began after a back injury led her to Dr. Ryan’s office.

Through her own adjustments, she discovered the benefits of chiropractic care for her children.

Passionate about holistic health, Kendra is excited to be part of a team that promotes natural healing and wellness for kids. Her favorite food includes mashed potatoes and chocolate, although not together, and her favorite season is fall. She loves watching the TV show “Big Brother” and values family as her favorite core value.

Sarah loves being part of a practice that brings happiness, hope, and healing in a natural way. Her favorite foods are southwest egg rolls, homemade chicken alfredo, and crab rangoon, and her favorite season is fall. Kayla Boleyn

Front Desk Care Advocate

Kayla is a dedicated wife, mom, and passionate advocate for health and wellness from Tulsa, OK. She and her husband recently celebrated 12 years of marriage, and they have a vibrant 5-year-old daughter who keeps them on their toes. Coming from a big family—one of seven siblings, including a twin—Kayla values connection and community.

Her journey has made her a firm believer in the power of chiropractic care and consistency. After seeing the incredible transformation in her daughter’s health over the past year, she’s more passionate than ever about helping others experience the same life-changing benefits.

Outside of work, Kayla enjoys reading, shopping, and running 5Ks. She’s a big fan of Italian food, loves the fall season, and never misses a chance to rewatch Christmas with the Kranks or King of Queens.

Empowerment is the core value that resonates most with her. She believes that knowledge is power—when people have the right information, they can make confident, informed decisions that positively impact their lives.

Morgan Jones

Morgan Jones

Front Desk Care Advocate

Morgan was born in San Diego, California and raised in the Kansas City metro area. She earned her bachelor’s degree in psychology from William Jewell College, with an emphasis in pediatrics.

Her passion for holistic health began during her first pregnancy, when she became determined to do everything she could to support her baby’s health—both in the womb and beyond. That journey opened her eyes to the incredible design of the human body and the importance of identifying root causes of illness rather than simply masking symptoms.

Morgan believes true wellness comes from supporting the body as a whole—physically, emotionally, and spiritually.

Nature is one of Morgan’s favorite places to reconnect and recharge. She especially enjoys camping and finds peace in falling asleep to the sounds of crickets and frogs in the woods. During the colder months, she loves curling up by the fire with an audiobook and a quilting or knitting project.

Morgan is married to her high school sweetheart, and together they are raising four incredible neurodivergent teenagers, two of whom have a PANDAS diagnosis. Parenting has deepened her compassion for other families facing similar challenges. Morgan and her husband have worked hard to help their children embrace the way God made them and live with confidence and purpose.

Having spent many years as “that mom” who had to advocate for “that kid,” Morgan resonates deeply with the Ascension Core Value of Authenticity. She understands how isolating it can feel when a family doesn’t fit the mold. That’s why she is passionate about creating spaces where people can be honest about their struggles and be met with empathy, not judgment. She believes everyone deserves a place where their real life—the messy, beautiful, complicated parts—is seen, heard, and valued.

Mariah

Mariah Hanner

Front Desk Care Advocate

Mariah was born in Alton, Illinois and raised in Lee’s Summit. Her favorite color is blue, she’s a big fan of Dot’s pretzels, and she never turns down a Dr. Pepper. When it comes to holidays, nothing tops Christmas.

Her passion for holistic health was born out of personal experience; through her own healing journey, Mariah discovered the importance of listening to her body and working with it as much as possible rather than against it.

Embracing a holistic approach became the turning point, sparking a deep desire to restore her body to the way God created it—focusing on finding the root of health challenges instead of just treating the symptoms.

Outside of her passion for wellness, Mariah finds joy in playing and coaching slow pitch softball. She also cherishes time spent with friends and deeply values moments shared with her parents, siblings, as well as moments with her nieces and nephews. Family and connection are at the heart of her everyday life.

Among her values, authenticity stands out as her favorite. Mariah believes that God intentionally knit each person together and qualifies people for the paths they are called to walk. To her, living authentically means embracing who God created her to be and choosing to live for Him above all else.

Madi

Madi Cox

Front Desk Care Advocate

Madi was born and raised in Kansas City, Missouri. With a kind heart and a curious mind, she’s always been drawn to the way chiropractic care influences not just the neurospinal system, but the entire body. What inspires her most about holistic chiropractic care is its commitment to addressing the root cause rather than just treating symptoms—something she deeply values and something that resonates with her in a significant way.

Madi’s favorite color is purple, she’s a big fan of Cheez-Its as well as Bai coconut drinks. Christmas holds a special place in her heart—not just for the holiday itself, but because it’s one of the rare times her loved ones can slow down, take time off, and come together with her family.

When she’s not working, Madi finds joy in simple, meaningful activities—tending to her plants, crocheting like her grandma once did, and spending quality time with her close-knit circle of friends and family. The family members she holds close are her “prized jewels,” and the time she shares with them is something she never takes for granted.

Her favorite core value of Ascension’s is impact—because, to her, it’s the result of living out all the other values with consistency and heart.

Madi believes that making a true impact means showing up for others in a way that creates lasting change, both in the lives of patients and among the team.
